About Us
We are a research group, representing the Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection (AGH University of Science and Technology, Kraków, Poland) and Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute.
Our scientific interests involve:
(1) fluid-rock interactions and mineral replacement reactions (e.g. spilitization, fenitization processes);
(2) origin and evolution of porphyry-style ore deposits;
(3) concentration of strategy metals (e.g. REE, Nb, Zr, Ta, Sn) in alkaline and pegmatite complexes worldwide;
(4) agate mineralization in volcanic rocks of various age;
(5) fluid inclusion study in minerals and gemstones as a proxy for temperature, pressure and composition of mineralizing fluids;
(6) geochemistry of minerals for petrogenetic modelling;
(7) mineralogy and crystallochemistry of ore minerals
